DOON DEFENCE ACADEMY PRATHAM PAG INTER-HOUSE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT THAL defeated JAL TO GET THE WINNER’S TROPHY The Pratham Pag Inter-house basketball tournament was organised by Doon Defence Academy, and Thal defeated Jal in the championship game to take home the trophy. On July 19 and 20,2022, the matches took place on the DDA campus. Both Director Sandeep Gupta and Deputy Director Divya Gupta met with the players from both sides before the tournament’s commencement and wished them luck in winning. The Doon Defence Academy, located on Sahastradhara Road in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, hosted the Pratham Pag Inter-house Basketball Tournament. In the championship game, THAL defeated JAL by 32 points as opposed to 22 points. As opposed to JAL’s 11 points in the first quarter, THAL only scored six. The second quarter of the game had THAL score 11 points as opposed to JAL’s 0 points, while the third quarter saw THAL score 09 points as opposed to JAL’s 6 points. THAL scored six points in the final period of the game, compared to JAL’s five. The two teams with the highest scores were Mayank for JAL and Rahul for THAL. In the game, the referees were Tarun, Arvind Negi, Piyush, Omji, Shashank, and Jagmohan Kothari. Sandeep Gupta, Director of the Doon Defense Academy, complimented both teams for a magnificent demonstration of sportsmanship and teamwork on the playing field on this momentous occasion. Playing in these types of games not only fosters team spirit, but also keeps the athlete fit and healthy. He motivated the students and conveyed the message that in order to succeed in the field of defence, they needed to get over their homesickness. He said that the person who is gripped by the terror of new challenges in the Defence field would eventually go home without achieving their dream of being a soldier in the armed forces. He made it clear that in order to compete in the many events held apart from the academy, Pratham Pag students must form teams for each national game. Deputy Director Divya Gupta, Principal D.N. Thapliyal, SSB co-ordinator Umesh Uniyal, Foundation faculty members, and other staff members were present to witness the matches of the tournament. # Affordable fee.
