TESTIMONIAL STATEMENTS BY THE STUDENTS OF THE FOUNDATION COURSE-

In a video clip, Mr. Anil Rawat addresses the audience and says that not everyone gets a perfect world. The idea of the Utopian world is a mere fantasy. Sometimes one does not get a sky and at times one is deprived of the small space on Earth. The song with the lyrics in Hindi was sung by Mr . Bhupinder Singh the famous lyricist and musician who created a niche for himself in the field of music expired on the 18th of July,2022, and is paid a tribute by Mr. Anil Rawat. Priyanshu Mishra from Bihar is interviewed by Mr. Rawat. On posing a question about how he feels in the hostel at DDA, Priyanshu replies that he likes being here as the boarding and lodging arrangement here is appreciable. The students have a fixed time schedule to attend the academic classes along with the NDA training in the evening with a proper break in the afternoon. He expresses gratitude to the teachers who put in an equal effort in the academic progress of the students. Another testimonial statement is given by

Omji, the student sports in charge at DDA. He tells the importance of physical activities and sports in a person’s life. The students are given all options of playing indoor and outdoor games to build resilient power in them and to make them future-ready for unforeseen challenges. The evening sports played by the students rejuvenate the students and release all the stress and anxiety. It also makes them develop a team spirit to solve problems as a group. He praises the arrangement at DDA that the students are dealt with in a caring and compassionate manner by the wardens though the time schedule of the morning walks and physical exercise might appear to be a slightly tough nut to crack. The arrangement of activities and other hostel facilities together provide the student an exposure to the tough regime of the army life that awaits them. Though they feel homesick and miss their family, it is mandatory for them to take it in an upbeat tone because they very well understand that they won’t achieve anything till the time they are out of their comfort zone.

Sashang from Uttar Pradesh has similar views. He too feels homesick and finds some other issues like food, lodging, and environment slightly not like home. He feels that it will take him some days to acclimatize himself to the change of place and life. He confesses that the students might be feeling homesick but they have to understand that they are mature enough to get used to these things at an early stage so as to accomplish their dream goals.

Self-study, time management, and accepting academic challenges will surely groom them into tough and resilient personalities to easily convert them into cadets of the army. It is important to learn self-discipline and self-control as it nurtures the values of sacrifice and patriotism in the students. He tells that the evening NDA classes are really very useful because these classes groom them in men of worth.

Raj Verma from Jhansi wants to be an officer and he tells that he has adjusted well to the on-house DDA campus with his comrades. He finds the arrangement fine except for the fact that at times they feel homesick. The students learn how to stay together and cooperate with each other. Self-study and time management are important aspects that the students need to inculcate to be successful and happy at the same time. Dhun Vishwas from Karnataka earlier did not like the food but now he finds it good. Arjunathan from Uttar Pradesh too wants to be an NDA officer and has come to DDA with the same dream.  He too feels that the responsibility of making a future lies with the individual and so it is imperative to learn self-discipline and time management while living here at DDA. Divyansh another foundation course student confesses that some students come with a complaint that they do not get time for self-study. He tells the audience that the students opting for the foundation course will have to understand the fact that they are no longer kids but mature individuals who should know how to take on the challenges of life. Though the foundation course students have to follow the early morning schedule of waking up, getting ready for physical activity, and then going for breakfast, they will ultimately learn time management to be able to do self-study during the night after 9.30. On Saturday when the students are shown a movie, it is in fact wise for the students to skip the movie and do self-study. The students who enrolled for the foundation course express their gratitude to the faculty members who are intellectuals and their overall experience of the DDA campus, academics, and other amenities is a great one because their personal issues are sorted out well by the compassionate staff of Doon Defence Academy.
