Doon Defence Academy organized a mock exam for the students of Pratham Pag on the occasion of Indian Navy Day – 4th December is designated as the Indian Navy Day by the whole of India and Doon Defence Academy has special relevance for the Indian Navy. The mock exam was based on the NDA syllabus covered in Pratham Pag and DDA to prepare the students for their Defence exam. After the results were compiled for the student’s performances in the exam on 4th of December, the Deputy Director of DDA-Mrs. Divya Aswal Gupta distributed the cash money as prizes, the coveted medals and certificates of outstanding performance in the exam to the first three winners who scored the best marks in the NDA exam in the morning assembly held at Pratham Pag for the students. The top positions were given to motivate and honor them for their brilliant performance. Among them, the first position was bagged by Gautam Kumar (2224140) from Vayu House with 77 per cent marks whereas Ayush Lohar (2224178)from Jal House won the second position with 75 percent marks, and Aditya Tripathi(222422) was awarded the third position with 74 per cent marks. The Deputy Director of DDA-Mrs. Divya Aswal Gupta addressed the audience and said that she felt satisfied and happy that the students of Pratham Pag are enthusiastic students who are willing to participate in all competitions and activities with full zest. She also discussed the pattern of the NDA competitive exam. The academic counsellor of DDA –S.S.Negi counselled the students in detail about their participation in the upcoming NDA exam and also told them to meticulously go through their performance certificates. He briefed the students about how they needed to fill out their NDA forms and also informed them about the format of the exam (the constitution of the paper and the kind of questions). He told them what should be the eligibility criteria, the date of birth required (age limit) and how the OMR sheet needs to be filled up. Mr Negi inspired the students and said that the students should possess leadership qualities. All arrangements for the prize distribution were done by Mr Giriraj Gupta. On this occasion, Manish Panwar, Ritu Chandraprakash, Sadhana Uniyal, Sumit Pawar, Upasna Dobhal, Sachin Gupta and Mr Salman were the faculty members who were present on the prize distribution day during the assembly.
