Athletics Meet At Pratham Pag “CHAMPIONS KEEP PLAYING UNTIL THEY GET IT RIGHT ” Billie JEAN KING The Athletics meet was conducted at Pratham Pag-the foundation wing of DDA supervision of the academic coordinator Mr.Giriraj Gupta. Thereafter, all the parents and dignitaries were given a cordial welcome in the main field to be seated properly. The guest of honor was given a special welcome as the house captains escorted him to the stage. The Athletics meet was declared open followed by a welcome address by the Principal-Mr. D.N.Thapliyal. The athletics meeting was attended by the students, the teachers, the Principal and the Directors-Mr.Sandeep Gupta and Mrs Divya Aswal Gupta. Quarterfinals and Semi-finals of Athletics The Athletics meet of Pratham Pag-the foundation wing of DDA began on the 19th of October 2022 and the athletics event commenced with the quarterfinals and semi-finals of races which included the 1600 meters race, the 400 meters race, the 200 meters race, 100 meters sprint, and the Shot put (6 kg). Many Pratham Pag students participated in various activities like races, drills, and March past in the presence of the dignitaries who were spellbound by their enthusiastic and fidgety impatience to compete and excel. FINAL ROUND OF ATHLETICS MEET ON 20TH OCTOBER The Athletics meet commenced on the 20th of October with the arrival of the Chief guests including all the dignitaries –the Director Mr.Sandeep Gupta, Deputy Director Mrs. Divya Aswal Gupta, and the Academic Head-Mr. Giriraj Gupta. The Parade cum drill was soon followed by an oath-taking ceremony by the House Captains. The spectators were captivated by the immaculately exhibited parade cum drill performed by the Pratham Pag students The final Athletics meet took place and many events of Races enthralled the spectators. In the 1600 meters race, Tanishq Joshi from Jal House won the first position, Yashraj from Vayu house won the second position, and Abhishek from Thal House won the third position. In the second event which was an 800 meters race, Tanishq Joshi from Jal House won the first prize, Saksham Tomar from Thal house won the second prize and Prakhar from Jal House won the third position. In the 400 meters race, Saksham Tomar from Thal House won the first position, Kevyansh Rana from Vayu House won the second position, and Devansh Chaturvedi from Jal House won the third position. In the 200 meters race, Kavyansh Rana from Vayu House won the first position, Omji Singh from Jal House won the second position, and Rohan Gurung from Vayu House won the third position. In the 100 meters sprint, Omji Rana from Jal House won the first position, Kavyansh Rana from Vayu House won the second position, and Prakhar from Jal House won the third position. In the 400 meters Relay Race, Group 1: Jal House comprising four participants (Omji, Prakhar, Satyajit and Devansh) won the first position, Group 2:Vayu House comprising three participants( Kavyansh, Rohan, and Prajjwal) won the second prize and Group 3:Thal House comprising four participants (Saksham, Sarthak, Devansh, and Hardik won the third prize. In the last event Shot put, Rahul won the first prize, Chetanya Gupta won the second prize and Animesh won the third prize. The final round of the races thrilled the spectators and the final round of 100 meters sprint and 400 meters relay race was a much-awaited event of the meet. The PT display by the cadets was followed by a Tug of war done by two teams. The prize distribution ceremony took place and JAL House won the trophy for being the winner as they scored the maximum points with an encouraging score of 32 points whereas Thal House was declared the Runner up with a score of 16 points. All the House participants give a frenzied shout of joy at the victory. The event culminated with a vote of thanks by the academic coordinator followed by the national anthem. The anchor expressed gratitude to Mr.Sandeep Gupta-the Director, the Deputy Director-Mrs. Divya Aswal Gupta, the event head Dr. Giriraj Gupta, and the Event charges –Mr.Nitish Sharma and Mr.Tarun Arora for their immense dedication to making the Athletics meet a great success.
