Rishabh & Saurabh received Rs. 10K Cash Prize From Sandeep sir after Selection in Indian Navy
AGNIVEERS AWARDED WITH CASH PRIZE OF 10,000 FOR THEIR COMMENDABLE SELECTION IN AIR FORCE, NAVY AND ARMY The SSB Coordinator Mr. Umesh Kuniyal welcomed the gathering to address them with important information about Agniveers who got recruited in Air Force, Navy and Army and are into the process of completing their basic training. All the Agniveers who aimed for Air Force and Navy and those who qualified NDA to make their way to distinguished designations in the armed forces were honored with a cash prize of 10,000 by the DDA Director in public in the presence of DDA staff and faculty members. Saurabh Upadhyay is a DDA stalwart who took one year Agniveer coaching and finally cleared Indian Navy SSR Agniveer and was selected. He is undergoing his Ship training at INS Runvijay. Rishabh Joshi completed his Agniveer Basic training and got the Mechanical Engineering branch and he will be going for his training at INS Mumbai. Due to their dedicated efforts, the Agniveers have successfully been recruited and are taking their basic training. Mr. Umesh Kuniyal introduced Mr. Ashok Singal-an ex-officer in Indian Navy. He has been into Indian Navy for 15 years and then joined Merchant Navy as electrical student in Indian Maritime University Noida. Saurabh shared his experience as the student of Sandeep Sir’s DDA. He could easily qualify the preliminary round of selection by clearing the first paper as he found the same basics of English in Agniveer exam which he had prepared during his NDA preparation. In the second test, he was supposed to do 300 questions in 60 minutes and all of them were MCQs. He could not qualify the previous exam as he scored 54 but the cut off marks were 55. He delightfully shared his experience and narrated his experience. Mr. Umesh Kuniyal told the students that the basics taught for all kind of Defence preparations are the same. The exam paper may have a different pattern. As per the policy of the government, more than 50 percent of the Agniveers are retained but if in case the cadets are not retained, they get a handsome amount of pension after 4 years of service and the opportunities to take up recruitment in renowned organizations as per their caliber and capability. Preferential treatment in recruitment is given in Merchant Navy to the cadets who were in Indian Navy. Those who are in Mechanical Engineers and Seamen, electrical engineers are given special preference in Merchant Navy. Mr. Ashok completed his 19 years of service in Indian Navy and then served in world class shipping companies after his retirement as Electrical superintendent in Marine Institution. Whatever knowledge is amassed is used somewhere or the other in your career journey. After you opt for Agniveer, you have incredible chances of making a tremendous career in Merchant Navy. Rishabh shared his experience. He completed his course duration at Sandeep Sir’s DDA. In Indian Navy, there are two rounds of evaluation. The first exam is computer based and the second exam is offline and that is after the physical and medical exam. In the second round, he could not qualify due to just one mark. He qualified the exam the second time. Indian Navy course is called a multi-talented course which is applicable for all other courses. Most of the staff and faculty members of Sandeep Sir’s DDA are from Indian Navy. He was benefitted by the Mock tests given by him at Sandeep Sir’s DDA. Most of the problems are due to time management. 100 questions have to be attempted in 60 minutes. All that is studied in NDA are the questions that you get here in Indian Navy exam. Questions are from Maths, English, reasoning, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Rishabh has come after completing his basic training from INS Chilka. The place is considered auspicious for Indian Navy aspirants. The routine is tough but those who are able to overcome these hurdles are the ones who become winners. After becoming Agniveers, the candidates can appear for internal exams to become officers in Indian Navy. The procedure for the internal exam is the same as that of NDA. The two rounds of selection are the written exam and SSB interview. JOIN THE NAVY -SEE THE WORLD- Mr. Umesh Kuniyal then conducted the award event. Saurabh Upadhyay was given the cash award of 10,000. Then Rishabh Joshi was given the cash award of 10,000. Then the AFCAT written qualified student Kartik was given a cash award of 1000. DDA Director Mr. Sandeep Gupta told about the tradition of giving the prize of 10,000 to the selected students who get their final selection and 1000 to those who clear their written exam. He suggested the students to use the cash prize money to buy something memorable. He told the students to be versatile and not just to depend on NDA exam. He told that once the students join the armed forces through any option available, they have many golden opportunities to achieve their dream career in life.
