Pratham Pag students Won 8 Gold medals including 1Gold medal for Judo Winners Share their Experience

Doon Defence Academy Athletes Bag 8 Medals Including the Gold Medal Won by Lakhan Sharma in Judo KHEL MAHAKHUMBH 2022 FEATURES VARIOUS SPORTS EVENTS- Dehradun: The Khel Maha Kumbh 2022 was inaugurated by Uttarakhand Governor Lt.Gen. Gurmeet Singh from Rajpur Nyay Panchayat in Dehradun. The Sports Carnival featured various sports events for athletes of different age groups. More than two lakh players are supposed to be the participants in the largest sports carnival ever organized at Block, State, District, and State Level Competitions. At the District Level Judo Competition held, Lakhan Sharma –a Pratham Pag student won the Gold Medal in Judo at the District Level and made his alma mater proud of his accomplishment. On behalf of Team DDA, Sandeep Sir-the Director of DDA congratulated the winner Lakhan Sharma and all other athletes for their stupendous and spectacular victory and for the Gold medals they won which indeed added another feather to the cap of DDA. He added that the students of Pratham Pag and DDA are as extraordinary in studies as they are in sports and games. Their stellar performance in both studies and sports made him swell with pride. He added that those students whose spectacular performance makes them win laurels in the Sports Carnival will also be honored and felicitated at Doon Defence Academy. In the under-17 category, Lakhan Sharma (Jal House) won the Gold, Sahil(Jal House), Akshat Chaudhary(Jal House), and Aayush Sharma(Thal House) won Silver Medal. Rahul(Jal House), Bhaskar Kumar(Thal House), and Mayank Dogare(Jal House) won the Bronze Medal. In the under-21 category, Aayush Varg (Vayu House) won the Bronze Medal. It is notified that on 27th November 2022, under the aegis of the Youth Welfare Association which was a part of the Khel Maha Kumbh 2022, the inaugural ceremony of Pavilion Ground Dehradun was done. The competition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest-Mrs. Rekha Arya-the Minister for the Youth Welfare and Sports Association of Uttarakhand Government. The Sports Minister Mrs. Rekha Arya motivated the participating athletes. On this gracious occasion, Mr.Jitendra Kumar Sonkar -the Director of the Youth Welfare Association expressed his immense gratitude to the Chief Guest for sparing her precious time to be a part of the Sports Carnival and motivate the athletes. The Chief Guest –Mrs. Rekha conveyed her good wishes to the participating athletes while she also elaborated on the benefits of sports and games in the students’ lives. Even the Director-Mr. Jitendra Kumar Sonkar also discoursed how indebted he was for her presence in the competition. All the Pratham Pag athletes who were the winners of the various sports events conducted as a part of the Sports Carnival were honored and felicitated by the Principal of Pratham Pag-Mr.D.N.Thapliyal -the foundation wing of Doon Defence Academy during the morning assembly of Pratham Pag when they had their prize distribution. He conveyed to the students that Team DDA and especially Sandeep Sir both are elated to have such magnificent athletes in their academy. He anticipated that their efforts will continue in the direction of progress in all spheres including academics and games to glorify their alma mater and make their teachers swell with pride by winning laurels.
