INTER HOUSE SPELL BEE COMPETITION AT PRATHAM PAG- “EVERYTHING NEGATIVE-PRESSURE, CHALLENGES-IS ALL AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ME TO RISE” An Inter House Spell Bee Competition was held at Pratham Pag-the Foundation wing of Doon Defence Academy which was conducted in two rounds and the winners were listed for the final round. The final round was conducted on 16th November 2022. The event was anchored by Mrs.Upasna Doval and the competition was judged by Mr. Sumit Panwar and Mrs. Ritu Chandraprakash. The timekeepers were Sanchit Sachin Manjarekar. The event was witnessed by all the staff and faculty members of Pratham Pag. Mrs. Divya Aswal Gupta was also present to witness how the students competed against their rivals and get a commendable score to win. The Chief guest was Mr.D.N. Thapliyal and the Special Guest was Dr.Giriraj Gupta. The main objective of the event was to enhance the word power of the students and check their language accuracy. The competition had two rounds out of which 25 marks were allocated for the students to verbally spell out the difficult words and the rest of the 25 marks were allocated for the students to write the difficult spellings. To declare the contestants as winners, the Jury consolidated the scores of the two rounds. The event culminated with a vote of thanks to the participants and the audience who made the event a great success and the declaration of the result. Ayush Lohar and Utkarsh from Jal House shared the first position and were declared winners of the competition. The second position was shared between three participants out of which two were from Vayu House-Aditya Tripathi and Gautam Kumar and Shiva Krishna was from Thal House. The third position was also shared between Shreyas Sashikant Mohite from Vayu House and Raj Verma from JAL House. For the commendable performance of the winners, they received loud applause and were honored with Medals, and certificates of achievement in Spell Bee. The winners received congratulatory messages from Pratham Pag Team. The event exposed the students to a plethora of new words that would enhance their understanding and communication skills.
