Mr Anil Rawat warns the students never to take an auto or cab from inside the railway station or bus stop as there they may be beguiled by the auto or cab driver under the pretext of taking them to Doon Defence Academy and then misleading them into taking them to other institutions with similar names as these cab or auto drivers are already hooked by other such institutions to gain the admissions of the students aspiring to prepare for defense from Doon Defence Academy.
Many times it has happened in the past how the students have been taken to other such academies under the guise of being dropped at DDA. The students have to remember that they should take the auto or cab driver from outside the bus stop or railway station.
Mr Anil Rawat instructs the pupils that they should go to Dehradun’s ISBT bus stop and grab a taxi, auto, or five-number Vikram from outside the bus stop. He advises students to never take a vehicle from within the bus stop because they may be confused and fooled by car or cab drivers who are paid by other academies with similar names to mislead students into hiring them under the guise of transporting them directly to Doon Defense Academy. With the ISBT exit gate in the background, he instructs them to turn left and grab the vehicle, whether it is a cab or a car, from the main road.
They should use a vehicle, such as a taxi, auto, or number 5 Vikram, to reach the clock tower for a small fee of 10 to 5 rupees (Ghantaghar). You’ll pass via Niranjanpur mandi, Patel Nagar, Saharanpur chowk, and finally the train station on your journey. We’re heading to the railway station from ISBT, which has a flyover on one side. On the way, you’ll come upon Darbar Sahib on the left. We’ll turn right since we need to go to DDA. We’ll arrive at the train station, exit, and proceed to a crossing called Prince Chowk. We go right after the Tehsil chowk and move through the Darshan Lal Chowk or Panchayati Mandir. The Lansdowne chowk is the next crossing, where they may take the Vikram number 2. Kanak chowk is the next crossing on your journey. The parade field is on the right, while Gandhi Park is on the left. We make a right turn and arrive at Survey Chowk. The headquarters of Survey Chowk are based in Dehradun. We’ll take the route that goes to the far right, which will lead us to Raipur. We must turn left after passing over the Sahastradhara crossing to continue straight on the Sahastradhara road. When you get to Galaxy Tower after crossing Touchwood school, you will notice Green view apartments written opposite Galaxy towers which is indeed an important landmark to ascertain that we are in the right location.
