Heartfelt Tribute To All The Pulwama Martyrs By The Fraternity Of Sandeep Sir’s Doon Defence Academy
‘FREEDOM IN THE MIND, FAITH IN OUR WORDS, PRIDE IN OUR SOULS, LET’S SALUTE THE MARTYRS OF OUR NATION ON PULWAMA SHAHEED DIWAS’ Dehradun: A heartfelt tribute was offered by DDA with the lighting of Amar Jyoti to the 44 martyrs of the Pulwama terrorist attack who sacrificed everything for their motherland. A Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden SUV into a CRPF convoy in Awantipora, Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on 14th February in 2019. It was indeed the deadliest terror attack on government forces in the border state. On this occasion, the DDA Director Mr. Sandeep Gupta reverently lit a diya-Amar Jyoti to pay homage to the martyred soldiers and prayed for their souls to rest in peace. He addressed the staff and faculty members present on the occasion of lighting the diya that many wrote legends of love, many taught legends of love but the real love was exemplified by the sacrifice of the martyrs during the Pulwama terrorist attack. He added that our countrymen will never be able to forget the sacrifice of the martyrs. DDA staff, faculty, and the students of the academy also offered flowers as a tribute to the martyrs. “Doon Defence Academy” (DDA) was founded by Ex-Submariner Sandeep Gupta, Indian Navy (retd) in the year 2005. Under his excellent leadership, the well renowned Sandeep Sir’s Doon Defence Academy is motivating, inspiring and guiding our young generation to join the Indian Armed Forces and the Merchant Navy. The aim of DDA is to impart quality education to its students which is directed to make them qualify for a job in the defence sector after completing their high school certification. DDA is one of its kind in India. Here, we have structured the courses in a manner so as to aid the lower medium and medium strata of our society.
