Doon Defense Academy marked the 2nd of July as a special occasion because of the momentous and ceremonious event of welcoming the new class eleventh batch to the newly introduced foundation course, which is an amalgamation of the class eleventh and twelfth academic years, as well as the preparatory classes for defense. The ceremony commemorated DDA’s great heritage of creating history by being the only institute to have the highest selection of students in the army, navy, and air force, as well as the golden moment of Sandeep Sir’s completion of 32 years of service in the Indian Navy. The ceremony, hosted by Dr. Giri Raj Gupta, was held at the DDA’s Pratham Pag Campus and was attended by the Director-Sandeep Sir, Deputy Director-Divya Aswal Gupta, Principal-D.N. Thapliyal, all faculty members, and class eleventh students from the foundation course. The main goal of the event was to inspire and encourage young people to devote themselves to the noble cause of selfless service to the nation, as well as to convey the message of how important it is to maintain the key factors of discipline, dedication, and hard work in order to live a life worth living. The honorable Director-Sandeep Sir, the Principal- D.N. Thapliyal, the academic Coordinator- Giri Raj, the Chief Warden-Karam Veer Jat, and a few other faculty members delivered introductory addresses to the new students of Pratham Pag. This was followed by the cake cutting ceremony, and the mood of excitement was generated by the melodic music playing “Papa Kahate hai,” along with several patriotic songs that were played to impart and instill the values of selfless devotion to the nation. The class eleventh pupils expressed their heartfelt gratitude and reverence to the DDA professors with a stunning march past in the style of the army. The whole DDA team pledged their obligation of completing the humongous task of providing such training to the students of the foundation course so that the students are able to achieve their aim of building a good career in the Defense Sector. The audience seemed mesmerized and spellbound by the environment of excitement and zeal and responded to the entertaining addresses with a cheerful outburst.
