AGNIVEERVAYU-A DISTINCT RANK IN INDIAN AIR FORCE- IAF INVITES THE DESERVING CANDIDATES The new Defence Scheme launched by the government titled –Agnipath Scheme –is a radical new recruitment plan for the Indian Armed forces in order to deal with the present scenario of large unemployment, the Central government seeks to recruit soldiers in the Army, Navy and Air force on a short term contract of 4 years and after the duration, the Agniveer will retire with a sum of 11.71 lakhs in hand. The scheme will allow only 25 % of the Agniveers to get permanent commissions in the army. In the scheme, the government has also provided age relaxation. In an Online session, Mr.Umesh Kuniyal addressed the students of DDA as a career counselor and greatly motivated the students to avail of this Agniveer scheme of the government which can really be a turning point in their lives. MR. UMESH KUNIYAL-THE RESOURCE PERSON GIVING NOTIFICATIONS Mr.Umesh Kuniyal-the resource person has explained quite explicitly about the notifications and how to fill the form. The entire procedure has been well explained by him. He tells that the exam of AgniveerVayu will be held next year in January 2023 most probably between 18 to 23. The last day to fill out the form is 23rd November 2022. An IAF Agneepath Rally will be held by the Indian Air Force to shortlist applicants for the Agniveers (soldiers) under this special program. Candidates who have completed a Diploma in Engineering from a government-recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks are also eligible. The required credentials are to have an intermediate degree in Mathematics and Science courses from the CBSE board. Candidates who were born between June 27, 2005, and December 27, 2005, are eligible since the maximum age is 21. When registering online, students must pay a 250 rupee examination fee. Debit, credit, or internet banking can be used to make the payment. The candidates must meet all prerequisites as per the set standards of the medical board to be declared medically fit for being cadets. On the completion of 4 years, the Indian Air force allows the Agniveervayu to apply for enrolment in the regular cadre of the Indian Air force or Airmen based on the discretion of the organization which would consider the achievements of the cadet to categorize him as deserving or not. Once the service period is completed, they will be paid a “SEVA NIDHI” package comprising their monthly contribution along with a matching contribution by the government. The main benefit of the scheme is that the youngster will get four years of recruitment and will then undergo such physical training and intellectual exposure that the candidate will be easily able to get recruitment by some other organization. BENEFITS OF AGNIVEERVAYU- The main benefits of Agniveervayu are that the youngsters will get recruitment in the government sector at an early age as cadets serving in the Indian Air Force. Secondly, they will be receiving a handsome salary with other benefits generally availed by the Air Force Cadets. Though only 25 percent of the Agniveers will be retained and the rest of the cadets of the Air Force will receive work experience in their respective fields of expertise to get employment in other private and public organizations.
