RAHUL –A DDA STUDENT WON A GOLD MEDAL IN THE SHOT PUT- “LIFE AND SPORTS CAN NOT BE SEPARATED: THEY ARE ONE”

RAHUL –A DDA STUDENT WON A GOLD MEDAL IN THE SHOT PUT- “LIFE AND SPORTS CAN NOT BE SEPARATED: THEY ARE ONE” Dehradun: In the seventy-fourth Athletics meet, Rahul –a Doon Defence Academy student won the gold medal in the under-sixteen category when he displayed his outstanding feat by flinging his disc in the Shot put. In the two-day athletics meet organized in IIMC on the 5th and 6th of November 2022, this extraordinary athlete created history by winning the coveted laurel and glorifying Doon Defence Academy and setting up a new record of accomplishment in the under-sixteen category. The sports contest was competed by 12 prestigious schools from across Dehradun. It is believed that in the District Athletics Meet, Doon Defence Academy participated for the first time. Rahul- the outstanding athlete made everyone spellbound and totally rapt by winning the gold medal in his first attempt only which was something to feel really proud of and such an accomplished achievement that it is going to be etched in the memory of everyone and will be written in golden letters. 15 students representing Doon Defence Academy participated in different contests including 100 meters race, 200 meters race, and 400 meters relay race, and shot put. The students who participated in the sports competitions were Omji Singh, Kavyansh Rana, Sanchit Mangerakar, Jai Kumar Singh, Rahul, Chetanya Gupta, Animesh Bohra, Tanishq Joshi, Saksham Tomar, Devansh Chaturvedi, Satyajit Patwari, Aditya Parashar, Jitendra Singh Yadav and Mayank Patel. Tarun Kochar from DDA, was given the role of the officer in charge. The Director of DDA-Mr.Sandeep Gupta congratulated not only Rahul-the gold medallist but also all those students who participated and performed outstandingly in the 74th District Athletics Meet. He addressed the students telling them how he anticipated the athletes of DDA to strive harder with the objective of winning more such acclaimed awards and laurels to glorify their alma mater. The kind of preparation both in academics and physical activities is so brief and meticulous at DDA that no other Defence institute can match the high standard of achievement accomplished by Doon Defence Academy students and athletes.
