Pratham Pag Students Enjoyed Their Wonderful Trekking At Khalanga War Memorial
KHALANGA ADVENTURE WITH PRATHAM PAG CADETS The Pratham Pag cadets from Doon Defence academy, recently embarked on a memorable trip to war memorial at Khalanga, Dehradun. Khalanga War Memorial is a heritage monument in Dehradun, dedicated to the memory of Gorkha soldiers who fought the British in 1814. It has been described as the only monument in the history of warfare to have been erected by a victorious army for its adversaries, as the British were reportedly impressed with the valour of the Gorkhas. The structure falls under the aegis of the Archaeological Survey of India. This journey was not just about exploring new landscapes but also about building camaraderie, learning teamwork, and gaining real-world insights. From breathtaking views to engaging activities, the trip was filled with moments of growth and discovery. Cadets enthusiastically hiked a 8 km distance, their spirits filled with joy. Cadets demonstrated their resilience and enthusiasm, embracing every challenge and opportunity that came their way. The cadets’ enthusiasm was ignited when Sandeep sir joined them. A memorable push-up drill with Sandeep sir will remain etched in the cadets’ minds forever.
