It was indeed a matter of great pride for 144TH Course cadets to pass out this year after three years of rigorous military training in a ceremonial manner. The event was attended by Mr Sandeep Gupta –the Founder and Director of Doon Defence Academy along with the DDA students and the SSB coordinator Mr Umesh Kuniyal. Many students from Sandeep Sir’s Doon Defence Academy were also a part of the passing out parade. Their Mentor Mr Sandeep Gupta –the Founder and Director of DDA was cordially invited to witness the parade along with the DDA students. Sandeep Sir congratulated all his former students for their success in completing their training. The main objective of the visit was to motivate the students to be a part of the passing out parade one day after they too complete their military training and to make them tread consistently through hard work and persistent efforts to study so that they are truly inspired to crack the NDA written exam with flying colors and later they also clear the SSB interview round. There were about 1175 cadets who participated in the parade out of which 356 belonged to the passing out course. There were 214 Army cadets, 36 Naval cadets, and 106 Air Force cadets including 19 cadets from foreign countries. . Not only was the feeling of patriotism instigated in all the cadets but also they were touched to the core of their hearts by the excellence and perfection with which the passing out parade was demonstrated. The cadets will then join their respective Pre-commissioned Training Academics. All the top rankers who stood apart by being the toppers in the overall order of merit were duly awarded and honored. BCC Afrid Afroz won the President’s Gold medal for being first, ACC Anshu Kumar won the President’s Silver for being second and BCA Praveen Singh won the President’s Bronze medal for standing third. The spectacular view of the uniformity, poise, and synchronized movements of their arms and feet swinging together in the passing out parade by all the contingents was indeed a treat to the eyes of all the DDA students who along with the DDA Director Mr Sandeep Gupta could not help appreciating. The contingents were marching with their heads held high to the rhythmic beat of the drum and the bugle and their steps in harmony with the beat. All DDA stalwarts were mesmerized by the way the cadets in all contingents were marching together exhibiting their stupendous and exceptional skill to be unanimous in one integrated whole- the community of Indians. As the event culminated, the cadets were supposed to leave for their final year of training at IMA (Indian Military Academy), INA (Indian Navy Academy), and Indian Air Force. After their final training, they will become commissioned officers. The Director also got an opportunity to meet the Chief of Defence Staff General Mr. Anil Chauhan and Commander Vice-Admiral Ajay Kochar. The greatest matter of pride for DDA Director Mr. Sandeep Gupta to see his students succeed in attaining their dream goals and this made his chest swell with pride.
