UDAI MEHRA -THE ACADEMIC HEAD OF SANDEEP SIR’S DOON DEFENCE ACADEMY NDA EXAM SCHEDULED ON SEPTEMBER 1,2024 BE PREPARED AND STUDY STRATEGICALLY TO CRACK THE EXAM In the online interview conducted by the DDA anchor Mr. Anil Rawat, questions were posed to Mr. Udai Mehra so that the students get an idea about the eligibility criteria and the personality traits required by the NDA cadet to crack the written exam of NDA scheduled on September 1,2024. The interview was conducted to let the students know what the requirements of NDA cadet are as expected by UPSC and the planning they need to crack the exam. The academic head Udai Mehra is cordially welcomed to the online session. Both the IIT and NDA exams are for the same age group. In the IIT, more technicality is required in terms of their knowledge but in the NDA and CDSE exam, the overall personality is evaluated. The student needs to have a good physical, mental, emotionally and social abilities. His leadership qualities, decisiveness, presence of mind and knowledge are tested in the written exam. The candidate’s interest counts a lot. All the students are inclined towards a particular subject. Some students are very good in Maths and Science but their General ability(English and Social Science) is not as good as it should be. However others might be good at GAT but not so good in Maths and Science. But the reality remains that the student has to clear the cut off list in all these subjects so a balanced approach is recommended. Very little time is left and the students need to revise all the concepts well. Just before attempting the actual exam, the student should take more than 10 to 15 test series and the student is able to understand the methods how to eliminate negative marking. The success of the candidate depends upon how the candidate spends his time in his hostel after the classes get over. The question arises whether the candidate is serious in preparing for his NDA and CDSE exam or he is casual in his approach. Is the revision being done at a regular pace or the time in the hostel is wasted. It is only by attempting the Mock tests, the candidate is able to manage his time and is able to learn to avoid negative marking. He becomes acclimatized with the exam hall and does not feel pressurized. Above all, he gets an idea about the question type and the method required to crack the competitive exam questions. The Academic head tells that the student should go through the NCERT books of Maths and Science to clear the basic and core concepts. Other than NCERT, the study material of Sandeep Sir’s DDA is well-structured as the study material of Sandeep Sir’s DDA is based on NCERT. However, it is the 19th year of Sandeep Sir’s DDA and over the years, the study material has been refreshed by the team of professionals including the subject experts and teachers of Sandeep Sir’s DDA. The video lectures and the contents of the subject are given in an elaborate manner on the Trishakti App of Sandeep Sir’s Doon Defence Academy. Every teacher does his best. If the student is passionate to clear the exam, success is not far away. However if the student is casual with the approach, it is difficult to do anything.
