INTER-HOUSE DRILL COMPETITION HELD AT PRATHAM PAG- THE FOUNDATION WING OF DDA
“A HARD DRILL MAKES AN EASY BATTLE”-Alexander Suvorov An Inter House Drill competition was held on the 3rd of October 2022 for the students of Pratham Pag –Foundation wing of DDA which was witnessed by all the members of the administration including the Principal Mr. D.N. Thapliyal, Deputy Director –Mrs. Divya Aswal Gupta and staff in the company of students. Military Drills are conducted to instill pride and discipline among the students during military training. It tends to pass a message of proper code of conduct among the cadets to ensure team spirit and synchronize their actions along with nurturing in them the values of conducting themselves well in a formal environment and displaying themselves as dignified cadets as is required among the cadets in the armed forces. All three houses-Jal, Thal, and Vayu participated in the drill competition with great enthusiasm and each student eagerly wanted their own house to be the winner. 25 students from each house presently an amazing march across the premises of Pratham Pag campus which was closely monitored by a panel of judges to award marks for their proper posture and synonymity while marching. Among the three houses, Jal House led by Sarhak Kr Yadav-the team captain won the winner’s title and was awarded the top position, whereas the first runner-up was Vayu house and it was led by the team captain –Aditya Tripathi, and Thal House was declared the second runner up and was led by the team captain –Nitesh Kr Bhati. The students who are going to be future cadets marched magnificently displaying poise and alacrity to the drum beats. The performance was indeed full of splendor and made all the spectators appreciate their efforts to make the drill competition a successful undertaking. Doon Defence Academy is consistently making efforts to upgrade the students with all essential traits as required by the armed forces.
