At present, 150 students (only boys) are enrolled at the foundation wing of DDA and the academic session is going on in full swing. The educators of Pratham Pag are indeed doing a wonderful job as some Pratham Pag students have shown excellent results in their unit exams. Many co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are simultaneously going on at Pratham Pag for their holistic development. The educators are like sculptors who mold the students as per their skills and capacity. The students at Pratham Pag are preparing for all defense-related courses like NDA and Merchant Navy –a very promising career option for youngsters who wish to dedicate their lives to their nation. The students can avail of all the facilities and are even made to compete in various competitive events like debate, public speaking, and composition writing. Apart from the co-curricular activities, various physical activities like marathons, sports events, and tournaments are organized from time to time. The whole program of the foundation wing is based on the RIMC pattern. The girls are getting a great opportunity as now the NDA recruitment is open for the girls as well so 75 seats will be reserved for girls for the next academic year. The objective of Pratham Pag is to engage academic experts and experienced intellectuals so as to ensure excellent results in their board exams and to ensure their eligibility in the armed forces. Pratham Pag provides complete training and guidance and with the result-oriented training provided at DDA, the deserving students easily qualify for the defence competitive exam of NDA, CDSE, or Merchant Navy. There are presently two different educational programs that are going to be launched next year-one is a four-year program starting from class 9th till they pass their class 12th exam. The second program is a two-year program for both boys and girls starting from class eleventh till class 12th. The students are prepared to become a deck officers in the Merchant Navy.
