Rashtriya Indian Military College

The RIMC, Dehradun is an institution of national importance that provides, quality all round education to young boys to develop a sound mind, a robust physique and strong moral values which enable them to become leaders of men, serving the nation’s Armed forces.

Entry
The college has a fully residential program for a period of five years from classes VIII – XII following the syllabus of studies of the CBSE, with science stream offered at the plus 2 level. Entry is only for boys 11 ½ to 13 years old twice a year for the January and the July terms.

Examination Schedule

(a) For entry to the January term, the written examination is conducted in the first week of June and the interview in October, of the previous year.

(b) The entry to the July term the written examination is conducted in the first week of December the previous year and interview in April of the same year.

Military/Sainik Schools

The motto of Military/Sainik schools is same as RIMC. The entry age for these schools are upto 11 years for class VI & upto 14 years for class IX.
