Indian Air Force invites ONLINE applications from MALE INDIAN/ GORKHA (A SUBJECT OF NEPAL) citizens from all States and UTs for selection test on 22-23 September 2026 to join Indian Air Force as Airmen in the Group ‘Y’ Medical Assistant trade.
Application is required to be filled only ONLINE by the candidates and detailed instructions to fill up the same are available at at https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in.
This examination is valid for AGNIVEERVAYU INTAKE 02/2027.
ONLINE REGISTRATION shall commence at 1100 Hr on 06 July 2026 and will close at 2300 Hr on 26 July 2026. Only ONLINE REGISTERED applications shall be accepted. For registration log on to https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in.

Marital Status and Date of Birth Block :
Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with 10+2) : Candidate should be unmarried and born between 01 July 2006 and 01 July 2010 (both dates inclusive).
Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with Diploma/ B. Pharma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy) : Unmarried candidate should be born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive). Married candidate should be born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2006 (both dates inclusive).
In case, a candidate clear all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 21 years for candidates with 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent including vocational course and 24 Years for candidates holding Diploma/ B. Pharma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy.
Candidate should have passed 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in English.
OR
Should have passed two years’ Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects ie, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from Education Boards/ Councils recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Candidate with Diploma/ B. Pharma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy : Candidate should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. In addition, Diploma/ B. Pharma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with valid registration from State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment will be mandatory requirement.
Note-1 : Education Boards (for 10+2 or equivalent) recognised by Central, State and UT shall only be permitted.
Note-2 : Exact aggregate percentage of marks before decimal as written in the marksheet of 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent/ Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy OR calculated as per the rules of concerned Education Board shall only be considered (For example 49.99% should be taken as 49% and not to be rounded off to 50%).
Once the application is submitted, candidates automatically will be redirected to payment gateway through Net Banking/ Debit Cards/ Credit Cards/ UPI to deposit the non-refundable examination fee of ₹550/- plus 18% GST (non-refundable). Candidates are advised to verify the details and make the payment for application fee via different payment modes. Post successful payment of application fee, the application form gets auto submitted and candidate will be redirected to his application form.
Height :
Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.
Weight :
Weight should be proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.
Chest :
The chest wall should be well proportioned and well developed. Minimum chest circumference should be 77 cms and the chest expansion should be at least 05 cms.
Hearing :
Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.
Dental :
Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. Dental Implants and Implant Supported Prosthesis will not be awarded any dental points. Candidates wearing fixed or removable orthodontic appliances will be declared unfit.
General Health :
Candidates should be fit for the Air Force, must conform to the medical standards. Candidates should be of normal anatomy without loss or deformity of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain
Gender :
Any candidate if found to have predominant characteristics of the opposite gender as evident on external physical examination, will be rejected as Unfit. Any candidate having undergone gender reassignment surgery will be declared Unfit.
